Lokrum is under special protection as a nature park. The island is uninhabited and there is no traffic here. The whole area is covered by dense pinewoods. On its southern part there is a gorgeous botanical garden. containing rare sub-tropical and Mediterranean species. Within the island there is a small salty lake. This is very popular bathing destination, since the average temperature is higher than the one in the sea.
After light lunch in a restaurant on the island, we paddle to the Old Town, where we end our excursion.

The island of Kolocep is a little over 2.6 square kilometers in area with population of under 150, concentrated in two main villages: Donje Celo, on the north side of the island and Gornje Celo on southeast. Those two settlements are connected with a lovely green pathway.
The island of Kolocep will delight you with its steep cliffs, hidden crystal blue caves and dense green pinewoods. One of the main attractions of the island is Blue cave, on its western side.
Guided tour starts from our base in the Lapad Bay. After the instructions we paddle to the island of Kolocep, passing along the reef Greben with a lighthouse.
